
Hanoi, January 26, 2026 – The Center for Materials Innovation and Technology (CMIT) -VinUniversity has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Graduate University of Science and Technology (GUST) – Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST). This strategic partnership marks a significant milestone in unifying the strengths of two leading research institutions to advance science and technology in Vietnam.
The signing ceremony at VinUniversity was presided over by Prof. Phan Manh Huong, Chief Scientific Officer of CMIT, alongside the center’s key faculty members, researchers, and staff. The delegation from the Graduate University of Science and Technology was led by its Director, Prof. Dr. Vu Dinh Lam, accompanied by a distinguished leadership team, including Vice Directors Dr. Nguyen Thi Trung and Dr. Tran Thi Phuong Anh.

Under this MOU, CMIT and GUST have established a comprehensive framework for cooperation focused on materials innovation and nanotechnology. The alliance is designed to drive both institutions toward cutting-edge research, thereby elevating their scientific capabilities and affirming their positions within the global scientific community. Key objectives include fostering innovation, mastering advanced technologies, and enhancing competitiveness to facilitate the commercialization of products in the global market. Furthermore, the partnership prioritizes the development of high-quality human resources and the effective sharing of state-of-the-art research facilities. During the working session, leaders from both sides engaged in productive discussions to identify and launch specific joint projects immediately, moving swiftly from agreement to action.
