Prof. Phan Manh Huong named APS Fellow for Contributions to 2D Quantum Magnetism

The Center for Materials Innovation & Technology (CMIT) at VinUniversity proudly congratulates Prof. Phan Manh Huong on being named a Fellow of the American Physical Society APS (*), one of the most prestigious recognitions in the field of physics. This distinction is awarded to fewer than 0.5% of APS’s more than 50,000 members worldwide.

Prof. Huong was recognized among a select group of nominees for his pioneering contributions to two-dimensional (2D) quantum magnetism, a field with significant implications for quantum computing and information technologies. His work has also been acknowledged for its impact on international collaboration and his dedication to mentoring the next generation of researchers.

At VinUniversity, Prof. Huong serves as the Director of the Center for Materials Innovation & Technology (CMIT), where he leads research efforts toward advancing high-impact innovation in materials science and sustainable technologies. He is also the Founding Member and Managing Editor of the Journal of Science: Advanced Materials and Devices, Vietnam’s only Q1-ranked scientific journal.

This recognition highlights Prof. Huong’s outstanding scientific contributions and reinforces VinUniversity’s growing presence in the global research community.
